S&P Upgrades 36 Credits

Standard & Poor’s last week raised its ratings on 36 school districts and municipalities in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, Ohio, and Wisconsin. The agency also affirmed the ratings on 20 issuers in Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, and Ohio. In all cases, the outlook is stable.

The upgraded issuers in Illinois include: Bensenville Park District, Chicago Ridge Park District, Fairview Heights, Freeport Park District, Hoffman Estates Park District, Huntley Park District, Mokena Community Public Library, Oswego Public Library District, and Waubonsee Community College District No. 516.

In Indiana they include: Boone County Hospital Association, Fayette County, Harrison County, and Whitley County.

In Michigan they include: Ash Township, Cass County, Durand, Independence Charter Township, Lake Orion School District, Muskegon Community College, North Central Michigan College, South Haven Public Schools, South Lyon, and Sylvan Lake.

In Missouri they include: St. Charles County School District R-VI, St. Louis County School District R-II, and St. Louis County School District R-III.

In Ohio they include: East Knox Local School District, Hubbard Exempted Village School District, Jefferson Local School District, Kettering City School District, Lebanon School District, North Central Local School District, Swanton Local School District, Wauseon Exempted Village School District, and West Branch Local School District.

In Wisconsin, the Markesan School District was upgraded.
