NEW YORK - Janet Yellen, former president of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco was sworn in as vice chair of the Federal Reserve Board Monday, and Sarah Bloom Raskin was sworn in as a fed governor, the Fed announced.
Yellen takes the seat last held by Mark W. Olson. Her term expires January 31, 2024. Raskin takes Donald L. Kohn’s seat, with a term that expires January 31, 2016.
Chairman Ben S. Bernanke administered the oaths in the Board Room.
