NEW YORK – Retailers saw sales climb 0.4% in the week ended September 25, according to the ICSC and Goldman Sachs Weekly Chain Store Sales Index, as the month continues to swing back and forth between positive and negative sales.
Year-over-year, retail sales grew 3.6%
"As the fiscal sales month for September begins to come to a close sales momentum accelerated on a weekly basis as well as on a year-over-year basis," said Michael Niemira, ICSC director of research and chief economist. "For September, ICSC Research continues to expect monthly sales to be on track for an industry-wide increase of about.3.0%."
