Treasury to sell $25B 4-week bills week of Aug. 28

The Treasury Department said Monday it will sell $25 billion of four-week discount bills Tuesday.

There are currently $71.993 billion of four-week bills outstanding.

The bills settle Aug. 31 and are due Sept. 28.

Federal Reserve banks hold nothing in maturing bills in their own accounts.

Treasury will auction $40 million 123-day cash management bills on Aug. 29.

The bills have an issue date of Sept. 1 and are due Jan. 2, 2018.
