Treasury 4-week bills amount up in week of Dec. 18

The Treasury Department said Monday it will sell $50 billion of four-week discount bills Tuesday.

There are currently $83.994 billion of four-week bills outstanding.

The bills settle Dec. 21 and are due Jan. 18.

Federal Reserve banks hold nothing in maturing bills in their own accounts.
