Platko joined the firm’s Chicago office last week as a senior vice president in the capital markets and investment banking division.

Platko comes from Aon’s Infrastructure Solutions group in Australia. She served as client manager in the group dedicated to P3s and established and led the firm's Infrastructure Solutions offerings in the Pacific region. During her tenure, Platko worked with global developers on infrastructure deals in the U.S. and Australia totaling more than $15 billion in project value.

Mesirow said in a statement it believes Platko’s “unique infrastructure experience in Australia is fundamental in helping expand the firm’s P3 capabilities, as Australia continues to be one of the most prominent public-private partnership markets in the world.” The goal is also to augment the firm’s overall capital markets tools.

“We are excited to enhance our P3 practice of providing private capital for federal, state and local government,” Mesirow president Dominick Mondi said in a statement.

Platko’s hiring brings Mesirow’s P3 team to six. The group works closely with the firm’s institutional sales and trading group.
