Lindsay Evans

Title: Director
Firm: HilltopSecurities
Age: 36

At HilltopSecurities, Lindsay Evans is known not only for her work on behalf of clients but for sharing knowledge at a firm that has invested heavily in training.

“Hilltop and I have a firm commitment to developing the next generation of investment bankers through our training and internship programs,” Lindsay said.

Lindsay, who caught management’s eye with her skill as a quantitative and structure analyst when she joined Hilltop’s predecessor firm in 2007, helped develop and heads the analyst training program at HilltopSecurities University.

“Lindsay has a reputation for unselfishly helping others, which has not only been noticed by Hilltop, but from many others in the industry,” said David Medanich, head of public finance. “She is always willing to do whatever is needed to assist bankers throughout HilltopSecurities’ nationwide network with constructive ideas and help present sound advice to our clients.”

Lindsay, whose grandmother worked at the Municipal Advisory Council of Texas, joined Southwest Securities in 2007 before the firm merged with First Southwest Co. to create HilltopSecurities, the top financial advisory firm in Texas and the Southwest region.

“My other influence was my dad who worked for the Texas Department of Transportation and saw firsthand the impact of municipal bonds on infrastructure projects,” Lindsay said. “He urged me to explore an analyst position in public finance.”

Lindsay, who earned a degree in finance from the University of Texas at Arlington, enjoys attending Texas Longhorn football games with her husband and two children, ages 8 and 3.

In her work with public finance issuers including cities, counties, public authorities, nonprofit corporations and healthcare systems, Lindsay has played a key role in structuring some of the firm’s largest deals, Medanich said.
