Eric Kazatsky returns to Bloomberg

Eric Kazatsky has returned to Bloomberg LP as Head of Municipal Strategy effective this week. He most recently was Portfolio Manager at Clark Capital Management.

Kazatsky’s role will be to cover the municipal asset class, focusing on strategy and macro themes and bring back to life some of the terminal research that has been sitting dormant since he left Bloomberg in 2018.

"I am very excited to be back at Bloomberg and helping to build on the positive momentum that has been established for them in the municipal space," he said.

He previously worked at Bloomberg from March 2017 and left in June of 2018 for Clark.

“I will be writing a weekly piece along with a mid-week report that is more credit focused,” he said.

Kazatsky said that much of what he previously did at Bloomberg will simply resume. He’ll be responsible for a complete re-build out of the Bloomberg Intelligence, Municipal Strategy vertical, which the core focus will be the replication of sell-side equivalent research and strategy publications available for terminal users.

“Areas of importance are relative value opportunities, market fundamentals, and since we are a supply driven market, the weekly upcoming new-issue calendar,” he said.

Kazatsky’s previously was a Municipal Credit Analyst and Director at Janney Montgomery Scott and a Senior Municipal Credit Analyst and trader at SEI Investments.
