Municipal bonds finished stronger on Friday, according to traders, as yields on some top-shelf maturities fell by as much as five basis points. The market digested the weeks hefty volume as it looks ahead to the upcoming weeks $2.1 billion of new issues. Next weeks calendar consists of about $1.5 billion of negotiated deals and over $564 million of competitive sales.
