Treasury Year Bills Go At 0.280% High Rate

NEW YORK - The Treasury Department Tuesday auctioned $23 billion of 364-day bills at a 0.280% high yield, a price of 99.716889.

The coupon equivalent was 0.284%. The bid-to-cover ratio was 4.56.

Tenders at the high rate were allotted 18.73%. The median yield was 0.270%. The low yield was 0.250%.

The bills have an issue date of November 18 and are due November 17, 2011.

Tenders totaled $104,985,330,600 and the Treasury accepted $23,000,443,600, including $211,830,600 non-competitive.

The Fed banks bought nothing for their own account in exchange for maturing securities.
