Treasury Year Bills Go At 0.275% High Rate

NEW YORK - The Treasury Department Tuesday auctioned $22 billion of 364-day bills at a 0.275% high yield, a price of 99.721944.

The coupon equivalent was 0.279%. The bid-to-cover ratio was 5.34.

Tenders at the high rate were allotted 52.72%. The median yield was 0.270%. The low yield was 0.250%.

The bills have an issue date of January 13 and are due January 12, 2011.

Tenders totaled $117,556,485,900 and the Treasury accepted $22,000,225,900, including $198,120,900 non-competitive.

The Fed banks bought nothing for their own account in exchange for maturing securities.
