The Treasury Department said Monday it will sell $55 billion of four-week discount bills Tuesday.
There are currently $64.000 billion of four-week bills outstanding.
The bills settle May 4 and are due June 1.
Federal Reserve banks hold nothing in maturing bills in their own accounts.
