Treasury sells $45B of 4-week bills

The Treasury Department Tuesday auctioned $45 billion of four-week bills at a 1.240% high yield, a price of 99.903556.

The coupon equivalent was 1.258%. The bid-to-cover ratio was 3.09.

Tenders at the high rate were allotted 5.64%.The median rate was 1.220%. The low rate was 1.190%.

The bills have an issue date of Dec. 14 and are due Jan. 11, 2018.

Tenders totaled $139,148,300,500 and the Treasury accepted $45,000,306,800, including $499,994,300 non-competitive.

The Fed banks bought nothing for their own account.
