The Treasury Department auctioned $34 billion of four-week bills Tuesday at a 0.155% high yield, a price of 99.987944. The coupon equivalent was 0.157%. The bid-to-cover ratio was 4.23.

Tenders at the high rate were allotted 48.51%. The median yield was 0.140%. The low yield was 0.010%. The bills are dated Aug. 19 and due Sept. 16. Tenders totaled $143,948,902,100 and the Treasury accepted $34,001,405,600, including $287,453,200 of noncompetitive. Federal Reserve banks bought $2,418,028,000.
