Tuesday, September 8

The Treasury will auction $29 billion of 91-day bills and $29 billion of 182-day discount bills. The 91-day bills are dated Sept. 10 and are due Dec. 10. The 182-day bills are dated Sept. 10 and due March 11, 2010.

The Treasury will auction $39 billion of three-year notes.

Consumer credit figures for July are released by the Federal Reserve Board.

Wednesday, September 9

The Treasury will auction $20 billion of a 10-year notes.

The Beige Book, a summary of economic commentary compiled by the 12 Fed banks, is released by the Federal Reserve Board.

Thursday, September 10

Initial jobless claims for the week ending Sept. 5 are released by the Labor Department.

International trade figures for July are released by the Commerce Department.

The Treasury will auction $12 billion of 30-year bonds.

Friday, September 11

Import and export price figures for August are released by the Labor Department.

Preliminary consumer sentiment figures for September are released by the University of Michigan.

Wholesale trade figures for July are released by the Commerce Department.

The federal budget deficit or surplus is released by the Treasury Department.
