Philadelphia Fed revises Dec. manufacturing index down to 9.1

The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia released its annual revision to its Manufacturing Business Outlook Survey, based on new seasonal adjustment factors.

The December manufacturing index was revised to 9.1 from 9.4 and the November number was lowered to 11.9 from 12.9.

The prices paid was revised up to 38.9 in December from 38.0 and the November was increased to 41.2 from 39.3. New orders were revised lower in December to 13.3 from 14.5, but the November read was lifted to 10.6 from 9.1.

The employment numbers were raised in both months: December to 19.1 from 18.3 and November to 17.7 from 16.3.
