LOS ANGELES -- Financial advisory firm Public Financial Management has expanded its Los Angeles office with the addition of Travis Linneweber in the higher education sector.

Linneweber will work as a senior managing consultant in the areas of client development, project management, and financial analysis.

The firm said the addition of Linneweber is a positive addition to the financial advice and planning assistance they offer to higher education clients, particularly in the western region.

“PFM’s higher education practice has been a national leader for the past sixteen years, and we believe Travis will help us bring our industry leadership to an extended group of clients,” said June Matte, PFM managing director and head of the higher education practice.

Linneweber brings eight years of public finance experience to PFM. He has served education and nonprofit clients in a variety of commercial banking capacities at JPMorgan, including credit, relationship management, and treasury services.

In those roles, Linneweber has partnered with investment banks, financial advisors, and legal counsel. He also has experience in government, healthcare, middle market, and workout banking.

Linneweber received his bachelor’s degree in business-finance from Indiana University and is currently pursuing a business degree from Pepperdine University.

PFM, part of PFM Group, ranked number one among financial advisors last year, credited with work on 903 municipal bond deals, totaling $57 billion, according to Thomson Reuters.
