Milwaukee ISM index gains to 58.68 in June

The seasonally adjusted Milwaukee Report on Business increased to 58.68 in June from 57.22 in May, the Institute for Supply Management-Milwaukee reported Friday.

New orders received rose to 63.07 from 62.77, production fell to 61.46 from 65.43, employment decreased to 65.17 from 65.57, supplier deliveries soared to 64.13 from 49.16, and backlog of orders declined to 54.55 from 57.50.

Inventory levels fell to 39.58 from 43.18, customers’ inventories gained to 35.71 from 30.00, prices grew to 73.91 from 72.73, exports rose to 67.65 from 63.33, and imports dipped to 59.38 from 60.71.

The blue collar diffusion index declined to 59.1 from 65.7, while the white collar diffusion index decreased to 55.3 from 57.0.
