Jobs posted on internet up 2,500 in September: Report

About 4,482,300 online job postings appeared on leading internet job boards in September, an increase of 2,500 from August, the Conference Board reported Wednesday.

In the U.S. there were 1.21 ads per 100 people, up from 1.17 in August.

“The August Supply/Demand rate stands at 1.59 unemployed for each advertised vacancy, with a total of 2.7 million more unemployed workers than the number of advertised vacancies,” the Conference Board said in a release. “The number of unemployed was approximately 7.1 million in August.”
