Holloran will work in Fitch’s Austin, Texas, office, where he will manage all aspects of non-profit hospitals and health systems ratings and outreach, including ratings application, research efforts, and industry activities, Fitch said.
“With over two decades of health systems experience, and an established reputation as a leader in their credit ratings, Kevin brings a breadth of expertise and industry knowledge to the role that further enhances Fitch’s strong health care analytical team,” said Jessalynn Moro, managing director and head of U.S. Public Finance.
At S&P, Holloran was the analytical leader and analytical manager for the U.S. not-for-profit healthcare group. Prior to joining S&P in 2003, he was a manager in Cap Gemini Ernst & Young’s health care consulting practice, specializing in post-merger integration and program management.
“Fitch’s deep commitment to analytical judgment is notable in the industry,” Holloran said. “While maintaining the right balance between the qualitative and quantitative in ratings is becoming harder, Fitch has maintained its approach to balance the two by relying on analyst experience and judgment to inform the nuances driving critical credit decisions.”
Holloran holds a master's degree in health services administration from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and a bachelor's degree from the University of Notre Dame.
