Consumer Sentiment Index Rises in November

The University of Michigan's final November consumer sentiment index reading was 71.6, according to market sources.

Economists polled by Thomson Reuters had predicted a 69.5 reading for the index.

The expectations index was 64.8 and the current conditions index was 82.1.

Economists had predicted a 79.9 reading for the current conditions index and 63.0 for the expectations index.
