Standard & Poor's Ratings Services said it raised its underlying rating (SPUR) to A-minus from BBB-plus on Canyon County School District No. 132 (Caldwell), Idaho's general obligation bonds.
The outlook is stable.
"The raised rating reflects our view of the district's positive general fund results in fiscal 2014 and balanced budget for fiscal 2015 in the context of an improving state funding environment," said Standard & Poor's credit analyst Sarah Sullivant. "Available general fund reserves have remained good, in our view, and district voters recently approved another two-year supplemental maintenance and operations levy, further strengthening financial flexibility."
