CAMPO Chief Pulls Stakes

Michael Aulick, executive director of the Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization serving Austin and Central Texas, has resigned and will be replaced on an interim basis by Maureen McCoy Daniel, who was assistant director. Aulick will continue to serve as a consultant during the transition, the organization said.

CAMPO’s transportation policy board accepted Aulick’s resignation at their meeting this week in Austin. Aulick’s 15 years at the group has been a period of rapid growth.

The position has already been advertised through the Association of Metropolitan Planning Organizations, and will use the city of Austin’s hiring process for receiving and screening employment applications.
