Kyle Glazier is the new Washington bureau chief of The Bond Buyer.

Kyle Glazier

He succeeds longtime bureau chief Lynn Hume, who has retired after more than three decades at The Bond Buyer, starting as a D.C.-based reporter and ultimately leading the bureau for 11 years.

“Lynn Hume has been a stellar journalist and editor for The Bond Buyer for more than a generation and will be truly missed. She has left an incredible legacy here, and part of that legacy has been helping Kyle develop into a top-tier editor,” said Mike Scarchilli, editor in chief of The Bond Buyer. “We wish Lynn all the best and know she shares our confidence that the Washington bureau is in strong hands.”

A seven-year veteran of The Bond Buyer, Glazier has spent most of his tenure in the Washington bureau, most recently serving as deputy bureau chief. Prior to that, Glazier manned both the securities and infrastructure beats. His time outside the bureau was spent covering issues at the local level in the Far West region, and contributing to sell-side markets coverage.

"I am honored to be given the opportunity to carry on the great legacy Lynn has passed down to me," Glazier said, "and look forward to continuing to provide our readers with the best possible coverage of events important to this market."
