CHICAGO - Troy, Mich.-based based investment firm Leonard & Co. said this week it has named Gregory Baracy to the position of public finance director at Leonard Capital Markets, the firm’s investment banking division.
Baracy, 28, joins the firm from Stifel Nicolaus & Co.’s Michigan office. He brings with him experience working with school districts, local governments, airports, and utilities, according to the firm.
“We are excited to be growing our public finance department,” Jack Brusewitz, senior managing director at Leonard Capital Markets, said in a statement. “Greg’s analytical background and his investment banking knowledge of issuers will strengthen our team, as we continue a strong focus on private placements to provide further cost savings and other benefits for our clients.”
