Advisory Firm Ehlers Hires for Push in Illinois

CHICAGO — Independent Minnesota-based financial advisory firm Ehlers expanded its Chicago-area presence by hiring Jennifer M. Tammen and Adrienne J. Archia in its Lisle, Ill. office.

Tammen, a specialist in economic development and real estate, joined the firm as a principal and financial advisor and Archia, a longtime general government banker, as a financial advisor. The additions are aimed at growing the firm's work in the Chicago area and throughout Illinois.

Archia is a 28-year public finance veteran who has long worked as a public finance banker with ties to most city and state issuers and also has done stints working in city government. She served as an assistant to the Chicago chief financial officer and as a chief financial officer of the Chicago Housing Authority.  She most recently worked at the Blaylock Beal Van LLC which she joined in 2012.

Tammen previously was principal at The TAMMEN GROUP, a real estate development consulting and public affairs advisory firm. She has 15 years of experience representing developers, property owners, and quasi-public agencies on economic development, tax increment financing, zoning, planning and other real estate matters. Tammen also has served as a planning project manager for the Public Building Commission of Chicago.

"Jennifer and Adrienne's combied wealth of experience and industry knowledge makes them key additions to Ehlers," Ehlers president Steve Apfelbacher said in a statement. "We view their engagement as proof of our commitment to being the leading company in the Illinois market as well as throughout our industry."

The firm operates offices in Minnesota, Illinois, and Wisconsin.
