Alethia Nancoo joined Squire Patton Boggs’ 12-person global board.
Washington-based Nancoo concentrates on public, private and project debt finance, with particular emphasis on capital markets, infrastructure construction, airport, toll road and surface transportation, mixed-use multifamily housing, and water and sewer utility sectors.
Ken Kurosu also joined Squire Patton Boggs’ 12-person global board.
Kurosu is the managing partner of the firm’s Tokyo office and the Asia practice coordinator. He concentrates his practice on project finance, infrastructure, mergers and acquisitions and related corporate and commercial law matters, with industry focuses on energy, aviation, telecommunications and chemicals.
Mary Kimura was one of 10 lawyers in U.S., and the only public finance attorney, named to partner by global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright.
The firm promoted 25 female lawyers globally, representing 53 percent of the 47 promotions, according to a spokesman. Ten of the 47 promoted are located in the U.S.
Former Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board CEO Lynnette Kelly has landed multiple new positions, including as a board member of the parent company of the Government Accounting Standards Board.
On Jan. 1, Kelly started a board position on the Financial Accounting Foundation Board of Trustees.
Kelly will also start a position in the coming weeks as a public finance advisory council member at the Milken Institute's Center for Financial Markets.
