April Revenue Crashes 20%

April revenue collections in Georgia plummeted by nearly 20.6% compared to the same month a year go. Total collections were $1.39 billion, a decrease of $362.1 million

Corporate income tax collections for April were down 33.1%, followed by a 29.4% decline in motor fuel taxes and a 24.5% drop in sales and use tax revenue.

Year-to-date revenue collections for the Peach State have declined $1.36 billion, or 9.5%, compared to the same period last year. Georgia’s fiscal year begins July 1.
