Treasury to Sell $28B of 4-Week Bills Today

The Treasury Department said yesterday it will sell $28 billion of four-week discount bills today.

There are currently $82.005 billion of four-week, or 28-day, bills outstanding.

The bills settle Dec. 17 and are due Jan. 14, 2010.

Federal Reserve banks hold $5.938 billion in maturing bills in their own accounts.
