Charlotte on Nov. 4 will ask voters to consider $227.2 million of general obligation bonds for transportation, neighborhood improvement projects, and affordable housing. Meanwhile, Mecklenburg County, which includes Charlotte, will put a $250 million parks and recreation bond package before voters — the biggest item on the North Carolina ballot.
Other local governments across the state have scheduled bond measures for Nov. 4. They include $185 million in Greensboro, $164 million in New Hanover County, $91 million in Forsyth County, $62 million in Winston Salem, $50 million for the Columbia-Union Water and Sewer District, $25 million in Boone, and $8 million in Granville County.
