Robert McDermott has joined the firm as a director.

The annual awards for the municipal finance sector will be celebrated at the close of The Bond Buyer's Infrastructure conference in Philadelphia, September 17–18, 2024.

"My 'One Philly Budget' invests $2 billion over five years in new operating and capital dollars focusing on five pillars — public safety, clean and green, economic opportunity, housing and education," said Mayor Cherelle Parker, the city's first woman mayor.

Fitch Ratings did a deep dive on the nation's major airport capital programs, as projects have begun, and how they plan to fund them.

"We were pleased to achieve such strong results, especially in light of the recent volatile market conditions," said Philadelphia Treasurer Jacqueline Dunn.

The section of I-95 that collapsed was part of a recent $212 million reconstruction.

"Our ratings reflect the progress the city has made over time on important issues like rebuilding reserves and improving the health of our pension fund," said Philadelphia Treasurer Jackie Dunn.

Small businesses that are certified to work for either Chicago or Philadelphia's transit agency will now be able to work for the partner agency as well.

Fitch Ratings said the upgrade reflects the city's improved operating performance due to a robust tax revenue rebound and management's proactive budgetary actions.
