Wayne Has Multi-Year Plan

Wayne County, which includes Detroit, could adopt a multi-year budget under an ordinance approved by the board of commissioners last week. The ordinance allows, but does not require, the county executive to offer a multi-year budget.

“This is another example of how we are adopting fiscally smart best practices in Wayne County that result in savings for the taxpayer,” said Wayne County Executive Robert Ficano. Neighboring triple-A rated Oakland County has used a three-year budgeting process for years.
