U.S. Government Ran $192.0 Billion Deficit in Feb.

The federal government ran a $192.0 billion deficit in February, the Treasury Department reported Friday.

Outlays in February totaled $363.757 billion. Receipts totaled $171.713 billion.

In February 2016, the government ran a $192.6 billion deficit.

In January, the government ran a $51.3 billion surplus.
For the fiscal year to date, the government has a $349.0 billion deficit, compared to a $351.3 billion deficit for the similar period in fiscal 2016.
