WASHINGTON – The federal government posted a $120.3 billion budget deficit in November, the Treasury Department reported today.
The federal government has had a deficit for 14 consecutive months.
The tax receipts took in $133.6 billion as government outlays totaled $253.9 for the month.
Economists polled by Thomson Reuters expected a $135.0 billion budget deficit for November, according to the median estimate.
The budget deficit for October was unrevised from an initially reported $176.4 billion.
The government had a $1.416 trillion deficit in fiscal 2009.
