NEW YORK - The Treasury Department today auctioned $24 billion of four-week bills at a 0.040% high yield, a price of 99.996889.
The coupon equivalent was 0.041%. The bid-to-cover ratio was 4.78.
Tenders at the high rate were allotted 83.65%. The median yield was 0.035%. The low yield was zero.
The bills have an issue date of Oct. 8 and are due Nov. 5.
Tenders totaled $114,768,446,700 and the Treasury accepted $24,000,626,700, including $306,696,700 non-competitive.
The Fed banks bought $6,285,071,700 for their own account in exchange for maturing securities.
