The Treasury Department Tuesday auctioned $12 billion of 29-year 11-month bonds with a 2 7/8% coupon at a 3.152% high yield, a price of 94.656663.
The bid-to-cover ratio was 2.39.
Tenders at the high yield were allotted 72.53%.
The median yield was 3.100%. The low yield was 2.888%.
Tenders totaled $28,703,357,300 and the Treasury accepted $12,000,033,700 including $5,046,300 non-competitive.
The Fed banks also purchased nothing for their own account.
The bonds dated Nov. 15, will mature Nov. 15, 2046.
