The Treasury Department Thursday auctioned $13 billion of 29-year 11-month bonds with a 3% coupon at a 3.138% high yield, a price of 97.331596.
The bid-to-cover ratio was 2.54.
Tenders at the high yield were allotted 18.97%.
The median yield was 3.100%. The low yield was 3.000%.
Tenders totaled $32,960,843,100 and the Treasury accepted $13,000,060,100 including $9,933,100 non-competitive.
The Fed banks also bought nothinh for their own account in exchange for maturing securities.
The bonds dated May 15, will mature May 15, 2045.
