Southwest Securities FSB Elevates Kilgore to New Post

DALLAS — Southwest Securities FSB, the commercial banking subsidiary of SWS Group Inc., has named Larry Kilgore as senior vice president and regional president of the firm’s downtown Fort Worth and Southlake, Tex., banking centers.

Kilgore, formerly director of Southwest Bank in Fort Worth, has worked for the banking and securities firm for nearly 20 years in a banking career that began in 1966, the company said.

In his new position, Kilgore will report to FSB chairman and chief executive officer John Holt, the company said.

“In terms of continuing to strengthen our relationship-driven banking model throughout the region, Larry is just the type of trusted, respected and proven banker to help us accomplish our goals,” Holt said.

Kilgore has served as a director of the Independent Bankers Association and the Independent Community Bankers of America. He has also served on the Texas Department of Banking Commissioner’s Council and is past president of the Mansfield Economic Development Corp. and the Mansfield Industrial Development Corp.

Previous volunteer duties include director of the North Arlington Levee District, president of the Mansfield Chamber of Commerce, and chairman of the Cleburne Economic Development Corp.’s finance committee.

Kilgore is a graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington and Southern Methodist University’s Southwestern Graduate School of Banking.
