Municipal finance advisory firm PFM Group will sponsor a seminar on financial planning for higher education business officers on May 13 at the Boston Park Plaza hotel.
"The challenges facing higher education financial executives are growing steadily, and solutions are in short supply," said PFM managing director Jeremy Bass.
Patricia McGuire, president of Trinity Washington University in Washington, D.C., will deliver the morning keynote address. John Bonow, chief executive of Philadelphia-based PFM, will give the luncheon speech, "what the M.A. rule means to you."
Topics will include protecting both sides of the balance sheet in a rising rate environment, public-private partnerships, strategic planning, a market update and best practices.
PFM panelists include managing directors Brett Matteo, Todd Fraizer, Barbara Fava, June Matte and Tom Morsch; and senior managing consultants Steven Hass and Emily Abrantes.
