Cherry Hill, N.J., Mayor Susan Bass Levin has joined Philadelphia-based law firm Pepper, Hamilton & Scheetz as of counsel resident in the firm's Cherry Hill office, according to a firm spokeswoman.
Levin, who joined Pepper, Hamilton late last year, was most recently of counsel with law firm Ballard Spahr Andrews & Ingersoll, which is also based in Philadelphia.
Pepper spokeswoman Polly Warren said Levin will work with the firm in several areas that will most likely reflect her experience as mayor.
"The (work) she's doing with Cherry Hill includes economic development, land use, infrastructure planning, things like that," Warren said. Levin is also experienced in the areas of litigation, labor negotiation, and municipal finance.
Levin, who has been mayor since 1988, has also been named as a potential Democratic candidate to run against Gov. Christine Todd Whitman this year.
