On Tuesday the Connecticut Bond Commission is expected to approve a $11.25 million bond issue to preserve open space, Gov. M. Jodi Rell said last week.

“We continue to make great progress toward our goal of protecting 21% of Connecticut’s land — or 673,210 acres — by the year 2023,” Rell said in a news release. “Setting aside lands for open space will help make certain that we preserve what makes Connecticut so special and unique.”
