Most recently, Usry held the role as principal and head of origination at Rosemawr Management, a hedge fund that focuses on municipal special situations and distressed investing.

Previously, he was at Citi Global Markets, where he was responsible for issuer derivatives, bond reinvestments, and structured credit products. At Citi, he was co-head of the municipal credit and financial products group. He began his career at EF Hutton and JPMorgan in public finance, specializing in public power and utility finance.

In his new role, Usry will provide strategic direction on business development, sales and marketing efforts. MuniRisk is a municipal credit research application available to Bloomberg subscribers.

“I’m pleased to become part of the MuniRisk team and look forward to contributing my years of experience and relationships to helping position the application as the must-have credit tool for the municipal market,” Usry said.

"We are extremely excited to welcome someone with Greg’s expertise and background to MuniRisk,” said CEO Mark Pesonen. “His familiarity with the municipal markets and strong track record in business development is a major value add to our team.”
