Democratic state Rep. Ann Peoples has introduced a bill for a $100 million general obligation bond in the Maine House of Representatives.

The measure would provide money for the repair, reconstruction and improvement of the state’s transportation infrastructure. Roads, highways and bridges would get $65 million. Rail lines would receive $20 million. Public transportation would benefit from $10 million. Finally, $5 million would be used for pedestrian trails.
