Leading Indicators Up 0.1% in February

The composite index of leading economic indicators gained 0.1% in February, its 11th straight gain, the Conference Board reported yesterday.

LEI increased an unrevised 0.3% in ­January.

The coincident index was up 0.1% in February after a revised unchanged reading in January, originally reported as a 0.2% gain, while the lagging index rose 0.3% after a revised 0.2% decline in January, originally reported as a 0.1% drop.

Economists polled by Thomson Reuters predicted LEI would rise 0.1%.
