Healthcare expert Caid moves to Norton Rose from Kutak Rock

The law firm of Norton Rose Fulbright has hired Kristin G. Caid, a public finance attorney specializing in healthcare, from Kutak Rock in Denver.

Caid rose to partner in an 18-year career with Kutak Rock. She will carry the same title at Norton Rose Fulbright.

Caid has served as bond and disclosure counsel on major healthcare financings and represents healthcare providers, including governmental, nonprofit academic medical centers, community hospitals and senior care providers.

“Kristin possesses more than two decades of experience in finance, representing all types of providers in the healthcare sector,” said Daryl Lansdale, managing partner for Norton Rose Fulbright. “Our clients will value her ability to handle complex financings.”

Caid also serves as bond counsel for state and local issuers and underwriter’s counsel in conduit financings. Caid earned her law degree at the University of North Carolina School of Law and her bachelor’s at Wake Forest University.

Kutak Rock ranked first among bond counsel in Colorado, credited by Thomson Reuters with $791 million of transactions in the first half of 2018. Norton Rose Fulbright ranked second in the eight-state Southwest region behind perennial leader McCall Parkhurst & Horton. Norton Rose was credited with $3.56 billion of volume.

Kutak Rock was also Colorado’s top bond counsel firm in 2017 and ranked fifth regionally, three spots below Norton Rose Fulbright, according to data from Thomson Reuters.
