Standard & Poor's Ratings Services said it raised by one notch to A-plus from A its school issuer credit rating on Charlotte Independent School District, Texas.
At the same time, Standard & Poor's assigned its AAA program rating and A-plus ICR to the district's series 2014 unlimited-tax school building bonds. It also affirmed the AAA program rating on the district's existing general obligation debt. The outlook on all ratings is stable.
"The upgrade is based on the district's continued strong financial performance," said Standard & Poor's credit analyst Oscar Padilla.
The AAA enhanced program rating reflects the assessment of the district's participation in the Texas Permanent School Fund Bond Guarantee program.
