Bastrop County, Texas, Upgraded to AA by S&P

Standard & Poor's Ratings Services said it raised its long-term rating and underlying rating on Bastrop County, Texas' general obligation debt to AA from AA-minus.

At the same time, Standard & Poor's assigned its AA rating to the county's series 2015 limited-tax refunding bonds. The outlook is stable.

"The higher rating reflects the county's improved budgetary performance and debt and contingent liability profile," said Standard & Poor's credit analyst Jim Tchou.
