Atlanta Airport’s New Boss

Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed on Monday appointed Louis Miller as the new general manager at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

Miller, the former executive director of Tampa International Airport, comes aboard as Hartsfield officials prepare to sell completion bonds for a new international terminal. The amount being sold and other details have not been released.

Miller will oversee the airport’s $6 billion capital improvement program. He is replacing Ben DeCosta, who retired.

Miller’s experience includes 14 years at Tampa. He previously held several positions, including executive director, at the Salt Lake City Department of Airports from 1976 to 1996.

Tampa airport officials are currently conducting interviews for a new executive director.
