Jason Kissane, a managing director at Assured Guaranty, won the California Society of Municipal Analysts' 6th Amy S. Doppelt Award for Meritorious Service.
The award is given annually to a CSMA member who demonstrates outstanding service, industry contribution, education focus and social consciousness.
"It is truly an honor to receive this award," Kissane said. "Amy set an example of thorough analysis, personal integrity and industry service that is very important to me and which is followed by my colleagues at Assured Guaranty, as well as so many others in the municipal analyst community."
Doppelt, a Fitch Ratings analyst who died on Dec. 2, 2010 at the age of 52, after a two-year battle with cancer, received a posthumous award from the National Federation of Municipal Analysts in March 2011. The NFMA cited her professional manner, her willingness to teach and her dedication to ethical conduct. Doppelt was well-known in the muni market for her work as a managing director in Fitch's public finance department and head of its western region tax-supported group.
