Public policy students will mingle with current municipal finance pros at an upcoming University of Chicago Harris School career forum.

As managing director at Crews & Associates, Susan Reed aims to bring creative ideas and a deep well of experience to bear on challenges facing Indiana issuers.

Ramirez & Co. continues growth plans with the addition of bankers in Texas, Florida and New York.

Dan Callahan joined UMB Bank as a senior vice president and public finance banker.

The merger, which takes effect Jan. 1, will combine the firms' public finance practices, which have a current headcount of 29 attorneys.

They new hires will serve various functions in different regions of the country.

Recent career moves are providing firms the opportunity to expand their markets.

The three new hires, two from Nuveen and one from Lord Abbett, will report directly to the fund's manager John Miller.

Current FHWA deputy administrator Kristin White will serve as acting administrator until a successor is named.
